Dear Spirit Families,

We [Spirit Board] hope you are doing well and continuing to stay safe.  Now that Summer is officially here, we know that many of us are eager to get back onto the field.  With COVID-19 and safety in mind, as the major factor in whatever we do, we are working with the County Guidelines and able to follow summer camp rules to get comp summer teams formed and ready to practice.  Spirit has drafted our guidelines and they are attached to this email.  At this time, we continue to work with the school district and city to be able to access fields.  However, if we can safely get teams formed, then once we can get on fields, the girls will be ready to practice.

We appreciate your understanding that this year, our evaluation process will be very different than in years past.  Due to not having fields and wanting to make sure girls are not mixing in groups for evaluations, this year, our evaluation will be in a video format.  If your daughter would like to be considered for one of these groups please register your daughter and you will receive an email with instructions for the video evaluation.  The deadline for submitting your daughter’s videos for evaluation will be Thursday, 7/2/2020

The deadline for registration is 6/30/2020 and the link is: Summer Comp Player Registration

We also need interested coaches to submit applications by 6/30/2020 and the link is: Summer Comp Coach Application

At this time, we are planning to form one team at the age levels of 8u, 10u, and 12u.  However, if we have additional interested coaches and players for additional teams at those levels and/or an older team, we can look into forming additional teams.

Below, please review the guidelines we will be following to align with County and CDC recommendations.

If it is an option (based on safety), we will work to seek out recreational fall ball options for Spirit girls.

If you have questions about comp (competitive) softball, please reach out to our comp coordinator-Emmanuel Mendoza at  We are happy that we are moving in the safe direction to get girls back on the field.  Continue to stay safe and be well.  GO SPIRIT!!
