Requirements to be a coach (Head Coaches & Assistant Coaches):

  1. ACE Certification - All coaches, assistant coaches and team moms must be ACE certified to be on the field with players.  There is maximum of 4 adults/team that will be covered by the league and allowed on the field during games.
  2. Concussion Training - All coaches must complete the concussion training.  The training is required every other year and is given by Safe Sports, which is part of the ACE certification.
  3. Live Scan Background Check - If you are first time coach for Spirit, you must be cleared through the Dept. of Justice.  Once you complete this process for Spirit, you will not need to complete again.

TEAM PARENT - At minimum, Team Parent must complete the ACE Background Check.  However, Spirit strongly encourages parents to also complete the Live Scan Background Check.

Both must be completed and on file with Spirit by February 24th in order to participate in Opening Day games.
